The bathroom featured a spacious shower and ample hot water, which felt great after a long day on the trails. The building itself has a unique charm, with attractive architecture that adds character to the stay.
Noise from passing traffic made it difficult to relax, especially with the window open. The entrance door jammed, leaving me stuck inside for an hour until I had to climb out the dining room window, which really disrupted my plans. Some areas had a noticeable smell of cigarette smoke, and the lack of modern conveniences like USB cables felt outdated. The bedding could have used a refresh, as it didn’t feel freshly laundered, and I found the duvet quite heavy for the warm weather, impacting my comfort during the night.

I had a delightful stay at The Waltzing Weasel. The room was spacious and comfortable, with fantastic views of the garden. Carol, the owner, was warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home. Breakfast was excellent with a generous full English served with some local flair. I loved that tea, coffee, and biscuits were restocked daily, adding a personal touch. Despite the positive aspects, the bedding felt a bit dated and could use a refresh. The wooden furniture looked worn and made the room feel less inviting. On my second morning, the toast was burnt, which was a bit disappointing. the sounds from the main road during the night were somewhat disruptive, making it hard to get a peaceful night’s sleep. Still, the location near walking trails was a major plus.

Welcoming host and stunning views
Our stay was lovely, with Carol being an exceptionally warm host who made us feel right at home. The room was spacious and offered breathtaking views of the surrounding hills, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Breakfast was delicious, featuring a hearty full English that set us up for our walking adventures. The only downside was the noise from the main road, which interrupted the tranquility we were hoping for.

I swooned over a delightful breakfast, complete with fried bread! The location was mint, being a skip away from the cozy Sycamore Inn, which served top-notch pub grub. Plus, Carol's hospitality was a breath of fresh air, making us feel right at home.
Had a bit of a rough start with the room not quite up to par, and the lingering whiff of smoke in the air was a buzzkill. A few hiccups with the door locking and shower thermostat also put a damper on my stay.

We had a fantastic group vacation! The host was super friendly and gave great dining suggestions. Our room had stunning views and was spotlessly clean. We visited the beautiful Kinder Scout and enjoyed local trails. Breakfast was a highlight, with a delicious full English. A perfect stay for a getaway with friends.
The room was a bit dark, likely due to the charming old building, which might not suit everyone's taste.
